3. Sunday Outing

The Sunday morning light spilled across the marble floors of the Rathore mansion, soft and golden, carrying the promise of an unhurried day. Niyati woke to the sound of alarm, her body already tingling with the thought of what lay ahead. Shopping for her child—her heart fluttered with a quiet, almost childlike excitement.

After a simple breakfast with her mother-in-law, Chaachi, and Aadhya, the women gathered in the driveway where a sleek black SUVs waited. Aadhya’s chatter filled the air like music as they settled inside, the scent of jasmine from her hair mingling with the faint leather of the seats. Niyati rested a protective palm over her belly, smiling as a gentle kick responded from within. The baby seemed to know today was special.
